Lot 505: A mid-century hand-blown ruby red art glass vase with dimpled body 14cm tall

A heavy, hand-blown art glass vase of organic, bulbous form. The vessel is crafted from saturated ruby red glass featuring integrated dark smoke-coloured swirled inclusions. The body has been manipulated while molten to create multiple soft, undulating indentations across the surface, providing a tactile, irregular finish. It is constructed with a thick, rounded rim and a heavy, clear glass base in the sommerso style. The underside of the piece features a flat, circular ground and polished pontil area. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the body or base of the vase.
