Lot 507: A mid-century modern cobalt blue art glass vase with applied clear glass fins and banded decoration 16cm

A hand-blown cobalt blue art glass vase of flattened, tapered form. The body features a bi-texture finish with a satin-etched or frosted lower half and a glossy transparent upper half. A horizontal decorative band encircles the centre, composed of a dark brown or black stripe inlaid with fine, wavy white lines. To each side is an applied clear glass decorative fin or handle with a scalloped, scrolled edge. The top rim is smooth and slightly flared. The base features a circular ground and polished pontil scar. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the vessel.
