Lot 517: A pair of Bagley Carnival Swirl Art Deco green uranium glass bowls

A pair of Bagley Carnival Swirl green uranium glass bowls. The bowls are of Art Deco design, featuring a light green colour that exhibits a bright green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. Each bowl is constructed with a series of spiraling ribs or swirls radiating from the centre towards a scalloped rim. A handwritten paper label accompanying the lot reads ‘A PAIR OF 1930’S BAGLEY CARNIVAL SWIRL URANIUM GLASS BOWLS ART DECO STRONG UV GLOW’. This pattern is identified as Bagley Pattern No. 3061, produced by Bagley & Co. of Knottingley.
