Lot 516: An Art Deco Bagley Starbeck Amber Frosted Pressed Glass Vase 16cm

An Art Deco period pressed glass vase in amber, produced by Bagley and Co. This piece reflects the Art Deco style through its strong geometric form. The vase features a flared, faceted body with vertical ribbing that terminates in four integral feet. The rim is accented by two small, flat rectangular lug handles. The lower portion of the body is decorated with a frosted finish featuring a stylized, overlapping leaf motif arranged in panels. The piece is accompanied by a handwritten identification card which reads: BAGLEY and CO PATTERN 8833 STARBECK c. 1933 – LATE 1930s AMBER FROSTED PRESSED GLASS. This is the Starbeck pattern, number 8833, produced by Bagley and Co of Knottingley, England, first introduced circa 1933.
