Lot 521: A Charles Rennie Mackintosh pewter bud vase 16cm

A British pewter bud vase of square-section form, designed in the Art Nouveau Glasgow Style. The tall, slender vessel stands on a flat square base. Each of the four sides is decorated with an embossed stylized botanical motif, featuring two teardrop-shaped leaves on a single tapering stem. The metal surface shows a combination of polished and textured finishes. The underside of the base is impressed with a square-format mark reading CHARLES RENNIE MACKINTOSH PEWTER in a stylized geometric font, positioned next to a motif of a rose on a slender stem. The text MADE IN U.K. is impressed directly below the main mark.
