Lot 617: An assortment of vintage electronics including a Smiths mantel clock, a magneto rotary dial telephone, and a CK voltmeter

A collection of vintage technical and domestic objects. The telephone is constructed with a finger-jointed wooden box base featuring a side-mounted metal hand-crank with a plastic grip. The upper section is formed of black Bakelite and contains a metal rotary dial with a brass-toned central disc. It is paired with a matching black handset and a brown braided cord. Accompanying the telephone is an external silver-toned metal ringer unit stamped 4030Y.
The handheld voltmeter features a circular metal body and a dial face marked VOLT above a CK monogram within a square cartouche. The dial is also marked MADE IN BAVARIA and is calibrated from 0 to 120 with indicators for 12 VOLT and 120 VOLT. A fabric-covered lead is attached.
The Smiths mantel clock is housed in an arched wooden cabinet with a dark brown plastic base. The dial is marked SMITHS, SECTRONIC BATTERY, and MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN, featuring black hour indices and gold-tone hands. The back of the clock reveals the original movement has been replaced with a modern black plastic battery-powered movement marked JUNGHANS QUARTZ W738 and MADE IN GERMANY.
