Lot 620: An assortment of vintage electronic vacuum tubes including Mullard, RCA, and Mazda examples

A large assortment of vintage electronic vacuum tubes, commonly referred to as valves, contained within a green plastic transit crate. The collection features a variety of glass-enveloped components with internal metal electrodes and black or brown bakelite and plastic bases. Many units are housed in their original printed cardboard packaging. Visible manufacturers include Mullard, with packaging identified for EL34, ECC88, PL36, and PCC84 types. Several Mullard boxes feature the branding The Master Valve and state Made in Gt. Britain. RCA Radiotron examples include a box for type 35Z5GT/G. The collection also includes examples by Mazda and Ediswan, with boxes bearing the marks Ediswan Mazda Radiovalve Made in England and Radio Valve Mazda. A green and black box from distributor Z and I Aero Services Ltd, London, W.2., identifies an Electronic Valve type 6JS6B. Military and specialist components are present, including a tube marked with the British broad arrow and CV216 KB/G, and another with a base marked JAN-CG-6C4. A partially visible red Brimar box and a plain white box marked ECH81 are also included. The green plastic crate bears an adhesive label reading 186 with a barcode and Euro Pool System.
