Lot 622: A large Rococo-revival gilt-finished composite oval wall mirror with ribbon-tied crest

An oval wall mirror in the Rococo-revival style. The frame is constructed from a cast composite material with an antiqued gold gilt finish. It is surmounted by a prominent ribbon-tied bow crest with two trailing ribbons. The surround is decorated with an ornate repeating pattern of foliate scrolls, acanthus leaves, and floral clusters, punctuated by textured lattice-ground panels. The mirror plate is an oval format. No maker’s marks, labels, or signatures are visible.
