Lot 643: A Collection of Fourteen Del Prado Hand-Painted Cavalry Miniature Figures

A group of fourteen cast metal historical cavalry miniatures from the delPrado collection. Each figure is hand-painted and mounted on an oval base. The collection encompasses a wide range of military history including a medieval knight in plate armour, a seventeenth-century horseman, eighteenth-century Marlborough cavalry, Napoleonic-era hussars, and early twentieth-century riders including a Second World War-era German soldier. The underside of the oval base to the Marlborough figure bears printed text reading ‘Marlborough Cavalryman at Blenheim, 1704’, a copyright symbol followed by ‘delPrado collection’, ‘à Blenheim, 1704’, and ‘Homme de troupe, cavalerie de Marlborough’.
