Lot 645: An Italian blue glass decanter with a matching flame stopper

An Italian hand-blown glass decanter with a matching flame-form stopper, fashioned in a vibrant teal blue tone. The vessel features an elongated, slender neck above a bulbous shoulder which tapers downwards before flaring at the base. The lower section of the body is decorated with a moulded optic texture, creating a regular pattern of circular indentations. The matching spire-shaped stopper is formed as a flame and retains a synthetic gasket for a secure fit. The item is accompanied by a handwritten paper note which reads ‘VINTAGE EMPOLI ITALIAN VASE (1970’s) DECANTER WITH STOPPER BLUE BUBBLE EFFECT * RARE WITH STOPPER.’ There are no manufacturer’s marks, signatures, or acid-etched stamps present on the glass.
