Two volumes of Meccano Magazine, published by Meccano Ltd., Binns Road, Liverpool 13, England. The collection comprises one bound full-year run for 1959 and a separate maroon cloth spring-back binder containing individual monthly issues from 1960. The 1959 volume is bound in maroon cloth with gilt-stamped lettering to the spine reading MECCANO MAGAZINE and JAN-DEC 1959, containing Vol. XLIV No. 1 January 1959 to No. 12 December 1959. The matching binder contains several individual issues from 1960, including Vol. XLV No. 1 January 1960, No. 2 February 1960, and No. 4 April 1960, each priced at 1/3. The magazines are edited by Frank Riley, B.Sc. and feature various articles on engineering and transport, including Electricity Across the Sea: The Cross-Channel Power Cable by Arthur Turner and Track and Track by Peter Lewis. The 1960 issues retain their original illustrated covers with artwork including Crusaders over Fujiyama and Fighting the Winter Enemy. Period advertisements for Dinky Supertoys and Hornby-Dublo 2-rail track are present on the back covers. No dimensions are visible.
