Lot 657: Art Deco Peach Mirrored Glass Mantel Clock

An Art Deco mantel clock featuring a rectangular peach-tinted mirrored glass face. The front is decorated with bevelled edges and triple-line geometric fan motifs cut into each corner. The dial has an applied silver-toned metal circular chapter ring with stylized Arabic numerals at the quarter hours and double-bar indices for the intervening hours. The ring is secured to the glass by four dark hemispherical studs. The clock features original openwork geometric hands in a matching silver-toned finish. The unit is supported by two stepped metal feet with a patinated finish. The reverse features a black textured backplate housing a circular metal movement casing. The mechanical manual-wind movement includes a winding arbor with an attached butterfly-style key and a knurled time-adjustment knob. A small crescent-shaped aperture is visible on the rear casing, however no text or markings are present. There are no maker’s marks or identifying signatures visible on the dial, hands, or movement casing.
