Lot 702: A studio pottery stoneware bowl with a stepped base and cobalt blue glaze
A wide, shallow stoneware bowl featuring a three-tiered stepped exterior. The interior is finished in a reactive cobalt blue glaze with golden-brown mottling and prominent concentric throwing rings to the centre. The exterior and the stepped underside are covered in a matte, mottled golden-brown glaze with fine dark speckles. The bowl rests on a small, circular unglazed foot. The underside is unmarked.
