Lot 705: A Decorative Stained Glass Limited Hand-Painted Stained Glass Jewel Case

A Decorative Stained Glass Limited jewel case constructed from clear glass panels joined with a silver-toned metal framework. The hinged lid and front panel are hand-painted with a botanical motif of red poppies and clusters of blue forget-me-nots with black enamel outlines. A hand-painted black enamel signature reading © ’84 MAE is positioned at the lower left corner of the lid. The item is contained within a grey presentation box bearing gold-tone printed text for DECORATIVE STAINED GLASS and a floral motif. It is accompanied by two printed manufacturer cards, including a care card identifying the product as made by Decorative Stained Glass in Scotland at Annan, Dumfriesshire, and an arched display card stating A hand-painted Jewel Case by Scotland. The care card also lists an overseas office in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA.
