Lot 708: An English brown leather Gladstone travel bag

An English Gladstone-style travel bag constructed from heavy-gauge brown textured leather with a pebble-grain finish. The bag features a hinged metal frame top with a central brass sliding latch mechanism, two lateral brass catches, and a single leather-wrapped handle secured by brass D-rings. The bag stands on four brass studs attached to the base. The interior is lined with a khaki-green canvas fabric. An impressed mark is visible on the leather base, reading MADE IN ENGLAND. There are additional impressed characters located above this mark, though they are not legible due to surface wear.
