Lot 90: An Omega Geneve Automatic stainless steel wristwatch with 1972 long-service presentation engraving

A stainless steel Omega Geneve Automatic wristwatch featuring a circular silvered dial with a sunburst finish. The dial is set with applied baton hour markers, a date aperture at the 3 o clock position, and black-filled pencil-style hands with a central sweep seconds hand. The dial is marked with an applied Omega symbol followed by printed characters reading OMEGA AUTOMATIC below the 12 o clock position, Geneve above the 6 o clock marker, and – SWISS MADE – at the bottom edge. The circular stainless steel case has a fluted crown and a screw-down back. The exterior of the case back is engraved with a logo of three joined hexagons containing the letters B, E, and G, above a presentation inscription reading T. CHAPMAN FOR LOYAL SERVICE G.C. & N.E.M. LTD. WSEND 25 YEARS 1972 WATERPROOF. The watch is fitted with an aftermarket stainless steel expansion bracelet, with the underside of the links stamped Speidel and the end links stamped STAINLESS STEEL and CHINA.
