Lot 92: A hallmarked sterling silver nurses belt buckle on red grosgrain ribbon circa 50g gross

A two-part sterling silver belt buckle of nursing style, mounted on a red grosgrain ribbon belt. The buckle features a pierced openwork design depicting a central rose flanked by thistles amongst scrolling foliage. The base bars are decorated with engraved geometric patterns. The two sections join by a hook and loop mechanism. The reverse of the buckle bears an impressed mark of a lion passant and a lowercase letter a in a shield-shaped punch.
