A two-item lot comprising a framed watercolor and a copper pitcher. The watercolor, on wove paper, depicts a Highland-style coastal landscape featuring a white-washed thatched cottage in the foreground, with a figure and three cattle standing on the shore of a loch. Distant sailing vessels and hazy mountain peaks complete the composition. The work is executed in a traditional topographical style with a soft, atmospheric palette. The piece is signed in brown paint at the lower right SYDNEY LAWRENCE. It is presented behind a wide gold-toned mat within a gilt-composition frame decorated with foliate-scroll corner moldings. The verso of the frame retains a rectangular cream paper label with a black printed border reading W.
