Lot 141: Michael English Red Pack Fall Exhibition Poster 1983 66x90cm glass frame

A large exhibition poster titled Red Pack Fall by the British artist Michael English. The central image is a hyper-realistic depiction of a crushed red Marlboro cigarette pack spilling cigarettes onto a cracked pavement surface. The lower white margin features the artist’s name Michael English printed in a large, black, stylised sans-serif typeface. To the right of the image, the title RED PACK FALL is printed in a smaller font (photo 5). A copyright and publisher line at the bottom edge reads © 1983 MOTIF EDITIONS LONDON PRINTED BY SHENVAL ’80’ HARLOW ENGLAND (photo 4). The poster is an offset lithograph or serigraph on paper, presented under glass within a simple black wood frame. The reverse of the frame bears a white and blue adhesive label for FASTFRAME reading Instant Picture Framing… Expertly framed by Peter… Ann (photo 7). The backing board is secured with brown kraft paper tape and fitted with a hanging cord.
