Lot 155: A Pair of Nautical Copper and Brass Port and Starboard Navigation Lanterns

A pair of nautical-themed navigation lanterns constructed from copper with brass accents. The set includes one port lantern with a red-tinted glass lens and one starboard lantern with a green-tinted glass lens. Each lantern features a conical top section with an embossed oval plaque; one reads PORT and the other reads STARBOARD. The bodies have a flat reverse fitted with a mounting bracket and a wire bail handle attached to the cylindrical chimney. The chimney is topped with a hinged lid. The bases are made of a silver-toned metal, featuring circular access panels with twist-lock mechanisms and a series of ventilation holes.
