Lot 211: Lluís Jordà, Seated Ballet Dancer, Patinated Bronze

A patinated bronze sculpture of a seated ballet dancer or gymnast. The figure is depicted in an impressionistic style with a tactile, textured surface, captured with her head bowed while adjusting her footwear. Her hair is gathered in a bun at the nape of her neck. The bronze is finished with a dark brown-black patina, showing lighter highlights on raised areas such as the back and shoulders. The figure is mounted on a rectangular plinth made of polished cream-coloured marble or stone. Affixed to the upper surface of the plinth is a small rectangular brass-toned metal plate with a cursive inscription reading Lluís Jordà.
