Lot 224: A service of Norwegian cast pewter and stainless steel flatware in the Heilag Olav pattern

A service of Norwegian flatware comprising cast pewter handles with stainless steel heads and blades. The handles are decorated in high relief with scenes from the saga of Saint Olaf (Heilag Olav). The handles are inscribed Heilag Olav and og hans menn.

The reverse of the handles features a repeating motif of four Viking longships under sail. The bolster area of several pieces is cast with Norway and HS Pewter. The knife blades are stamped Stainless Steel Made in Norway.

The collection includes a large two-tine serving fork, two large serving spoons, two condiment spoons, dinner knives, steak knives, dinner forks, and dinner spoons.
