Lot 225: Vintage Hand-Painted Wooden Directional Room Sign 61x61cm

A hand-painted directional sign salvaged from a public or commercial building. The sign consists of a square plywood panel painted in a bright yellow ground, featuring black stencilled or hand-lettered text in a serif typeface. The text reads BALCONY, followed by MEETING ROOM 3 with a right-facing arrow, and MEETING ROOMS 1 & 2 with a left-facing arrow.

The panel is set within a simple mitered wooden frame finished in a high-gloss black paint. The reverse side reveals raw, unfinished plywood showing the natural wood grain and various paint drips from the framing process along the top and bottom edges. There are no visible maker’s marks, signatures, or branding on the front or reverse of the piece.
