Lot 226: Vintage Hand Painted Directional Meeting Room Plywood Sign

A vintage hand-painted directional sign, likely for an office or institutional setting. The square plywood panel is finished in a bright yellow ground with a black-painted wooden frame. The face features hand-painted serif lettering and graphics, divided into two sections by horizontal arrows. The upper portion reads BALCONY / MEETING ROOM / 2 & 3 with a right-pointing arrow. The lower portion reads MEETING ROOM / 1 with a left-pointing arrow. Small circular mounting holes are present at the top and bottom centre of the yellow panel.

The lower-left corner of the yellow face bears a faint graphite inscription reading JACKO over O-T. The reverse of the sign shows the natural unpainted plywood backing with two mounting holes. A small black stamp appears in the upper-right corner of the reverse, featuring a stylized letter S surmounted by three wavy lines.
