Lot 264: Antique Black Glass Apothecary Bottle for Aqua Carui
An antique apothecary shop round bottle, blown in deep black glass. The cylindrical body leads to rounded shoulders and a short neck with a thickened, rolled rim. A rectangular hand-painted label is applied to the front of the body, featuring a gilded ground and a black line border. The label contains the painted black characters AQ: CARUI. followed by a period. The bottle is fitted with a tapered metal cap, which shows remnants of a gold-toned finish.
