Lot 270: A Trio of Victorian Clear Glass Apothecary Bottles

A trio of Victorian clear glass apothecary bottles of cylindrical form with rounded shoulders and ground-glass necks. The bottles are of moulded glass construction. Two bottles feature flat-topped ground-glass stoppers, while the centrally placed bottle is fitted with a faceted, bulbous cut-glass style ground-glass stopper. Each bottle bears a recessed, glass-protected label with a gilt-gold border and a red inner pinstripe. The labels are inscribed in black block lettering. The left-hand bottle is labelled TINCT: SCILLÆ. The central bottle is labelled TINCT: ZINGIBER: The right-hand bottle is labelled ACID: ACET: FORT: No maker marks are visible.
