A large cylindrical pharmacy storage jar constructed from deep amethyst glass, appearing black under standard lighting conditions. The vessel features a rounded shoulder and a short neck, and is fitted with a matching mushroom-shaped ground glass stopper. The front of the jar displays an applied hand-painted label with an orange ground and black horizontal borders. The label is inscribed with the hand-painted black text P. RHEI: CO. No maker’s marks, glasshouse stamps, or other identifying signatures are present on the glass or stopper.
