Lot 309: A Collection of Antique Glass Apothecary Jars and a Paper Wrapped Bottle

An assortment of eight antique pharmaceutical containers comprising seven glass jars and one wrapped bottle. The apothecary jars are fashioned from light green aqua and clear glass, featuring a rectangular, square-shouldered form with ground glass necks and matching square-headed stoppers. Two jars retain their original paper labels. One bears an orange adhesive label with a decorative border printed AMMON CHLORIDE. The second jar features a tan paper label with red and black borders printed TAB. CASC. SAGR. gr. 5 B.P. above a small five-pointed star. The final item is a small cylindrical dark glass bottle entirely encased in a distressed dark paper wrap. The wrap is printed with the letters OMLI over CO and lower down BUTTER followed by LINSON and ewland, referencing Tomlinson & Hayward Butter Colour. One jar stopper is secured with a rusted wire tie.
