Lot 345: An Olympus OM-1 MD 35mm SLR Film Camera with F.Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 Lens and Strap

A Japanese 35mm single lens reflex (SLR) film camera, the chassis constructed from metal with a textured black leatherette grip and chrome-finished top and bottom plates. The front of the pentaprism is engraved OLYMPUS, and the top plate is marked OM-1 beside an ON/OFF power switch for the light meter. The camera features a front-mounted MD badge indicating motor drive compatibility. The base plate is impressed MADE IN JAPAN followed by the serial number 1372204. It is fitted with an Olympus OM-SYSTEM F.ZUIKO Auto-S 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, the front ring of which is marked with the serial number 654318. The lens barrel features a shutter speed ring graduated from 1 to 1000, an aperture ring graduated from 1.8 to 16, and dual distance scales in orange and white. A removable Olympus Accessory Shoe 1 is mounted to the top of the pentaprism. Included is a canvas shoulder strap with a central blue stripe and leather ends, one of which is embossed OLYMPUS in block letters.
