Lot 544: A Pair of Harrods Christmas Commemorative Teddy Bears 1999 and 2000

A pair of commemorative plush teddy bears from the Harrods annual Christmas collection, comprising the 1999 and 2000 editions. The 1999 bear is constructed from light brown curly synthetic plush with glass-style eyes and fabric paw pads. It wears a dark red velvet-textured nightcap and a matching scarf. The scarf is decorated with an embroidered image of a teddy bear wearing a similar hat and scarf, above the word Harrods in gold-coloured thread. The right foot pad is embroidered in gold thread with the name Harrods and the year 1999.

The 2000 bear is constructed from golden-brown synthetic plush with glass-style eyes and fabric paw pads. It wears a purple velvet-textured jacket finished with gold-coloured piping and four decorative gold-thread embroidered Chinese-style frog closures. The right foot pad is embroidered in gold thread with the name Harrods and the year 2000. A white fabric tag is attached to the rear seam, printed in black with a stylised Harrods script and the location KNIGHTSBRIDGE in capital letters below.
