Lot 545: A Pair of Harrods Year-Dated Christmas Teddy Bears 2001 and 2002
A pair of Harrods plush teddy bears from the annual Christmas collection. The group includes the 2001 and 2002 editions, both featuring synthetic plush fur, plastic eyes, and original outfits.
The 2001 bear is crafted from light brown plush and wears a dark green velvet-style hooded waistcoat. The waistcoat is trimmed with white faux fur and features a functional metal zipper. The zipper pull is embossed with the name Harrods. The left foot sole is embroidered in gold-tone thread with the name Harrods positioned over the year 2001. A white woven fabric label is sewn into the back, printed in black with Harrods Knightsbridge. The original cardboard hangtag is present, printed with Harrods Knightsbridge Christmas Bear.
The 2002 bear is made from shaggy medium brown plush and is dressed in a cream cable-knit sweater with a red, blue, and yellow tartan scarf. The left foot sole features gold-tone embroidery reading Harrods over 2002. This bear retains its original teal-coloured cardboard hangtag, printed with Christmas Teddy Bear 2002 and an illustration of the bear.
