Lot 557: A Collection of Vintage LEGO Building Sets and Components
A substantial assortment of vintage LEGO components and sets primarily dating from the late 1970s and 1980s. The collection includes a wide variety of themed elements from the Legoland and Town series.
The lot features several large baseplates: one grey 32×32 road plate with a printed T-junction and various green and blue baseplates in 16×32 and 32×32 sizes. An extensive group of classic smiley-face minifigures is included, featuring police officers, firefighters, and ship crew members.
Building components are sorted into bags by colour and type, containing large quantities of white, red, black, and blue bricks. Specialized pieces include yellow ladders, windows, wheels with red hubs, and blue plastic train track segments. A vintage red plastic sorting tray with four compartments is included; it features a printed black logo reading LEGO inside a square border.
The lot includes several original printed instruction manuals and a large box fragment. Legible set numbers on the manuals include:
6650: Legoland Fire and Rescue truck.
643: Mobile Crane.
644: Double-decker Police Surveillance van.
A partially used sticker sheet is present, featuring adhesive labels for automotive brands including Shell, GOOD YEAR, Firestone, Mobil, Ford, STP, and TEXACO.
