Lot 676: A Decorative Hand Painted Camel Bone Tile Orb on Stand

A decorative globe or orb of modern construction, composed of numerous small rectangular camel bone tiles applied over a resin core. The sphere features hand-painted black ink illustrations in the style of Indian miniatures, depicting a traditional ceremonial or royal procession. The imagery includes various figures in tunics and turbans, some riding a camel, others leading horses and an elephant, all set within a landscape of foliate and floral motifs. The poles of the orb are decorated with central floral medallions. The orb rests upon a separate, contemporary black-finished composite or wooden base designed with a fluted central column and a stepped, circular foot, supporting the sphere with three curved arms. There are no maker’s marks, signatures, or country-of-origin labels visible on the orb or the stand.
