Lot 677: An Embroidered Textile Panel with Geometric Lozenge Medallion

An embroidered textile panel featuring a large central lozenge medallion surrounded by complex geometric and stylized floral motifs. The piece is worked in a palette of red, blue, green, and brown thread on a heavy ground. The composition includes a wide decorative border containing a continuous S-shaped fret pattern. The textile is finished with a red fabric binding to the edges and a knotted cream-coloured fringe along two sides. The reverse of the panel is covered with a plain, light-coloured backing fabric.
