Lot 678: A Group of Cased Fish Serving Sets and a Pair of Woven Rattan Trays
A collection of various tableware including two cased fish serving sets and a pair of square serving trays. The first set is presented in a black leatherette case with a royal blue satin and velvet interior. The silk lid lining features a gold-stamped logo with a crown crest above the text HARRODS LONDON.S.W. The set comprises a large silver-plated fish server and a matching serving fork, both featuring carved cream-coloured handles and silver collars. The blade of the knife bears several small impressed hallmarks that are not clearly legible.
The second set is housed in a mahogany-finished wooden canteen with a peach-coloured satin and brown velvet lining. It includes a large fish server, a matching serving fork, and twelve individual fish knives and forks. The blades and tines are stamped with circular marks; one visible mark contains the characters BUTLER’S and STAINLESS. These pieces also feature cream-coloured handles.
The pair of square wooden serving trays is constructed with dark-stained bamboo-style frames and integrated side handles. The base of each tray is made from woven rattan or wicker.
