Lot 7: An Edwardian 9 carat rose gold and heart-cut amethyst bar brooch circa 2.13g gross

An Edwardian bar brooch featuring a central heart-cut faceted purple gemstone secured in a ten-prong claw setting. The setting is mounted to a tapered rose gold bar. The reverse of the setting is stamped with a mark reading 9CT in an oval cartouche. The brooch is fitted with a hinged white metal pin and a simple C-clasp. The piece is presented in a period-style fitted case with a brown textured paper exterior, a blue velvet base and a cream silk-lined lid.
