Lot 6: A 9ct Gold and Amethyst Bar Brooch in a Fitted Retailer Case circa 2.94g Gross

A 9ct yellow gold bar brooch featuring a central openwork oval frame set with two circular faceted purple gemstones, likely amethysts, in millegrain-edged bezel settings. The geometric design includes stylized wirework loops and a tapering bar. The reverse is fitted with a hinged pin and a simple C-clasp, alongside an integral gold loop for a safety chain. The reverse of the bar is stamped with the characters 9 and ct, and the letters GWS. A hand-etched inventory number 364 is also present on the bar. The brooch is housed in a blue hinged case with a fitted interior; the silk lining of the lid is printed in black with the text JEWELLERS, ETC., M. Cohen and Co., 55 PRUDHOE STREET, NORTH SHIELDS.
