Lot 102: A Sterling Silver Single Albert Watch Chain and Fob circa 50g

A sterling silver single Albert watch chain and fob. The chain is constructed of graduated curb links, terminating at one end with a swivel clasp and at the other with a T-bar. Each individual link of the chain is impressed with a lion passant mark. The T-bar is similarly impressed with a lion passant. The swivel clasp bears a lion passant and an additional mark in a shield, though the character within is not legible. Suspended from the chain is a decorative silver fob, designed as a shield within a laurel wreath, surmounted by a crown and a blank banner. The fob features a vacant central cartouche. The reverse of the fob is struck with ‘D & S’ in a rectangular cartouche, alongside three hallmarks: an anchor, a lion passant, and a lowercase Gothic letter ‘y’. The words ‘FATIMA & SONS’ and ‘BRADFORD’ are impressed above these marks. The other side of the fob bears an incised registration number ‘RD 518882’.
