Lot 109: 20th Century Italian Style Gilt Composite Rococo Revival Wall Mirror

A 20th-century wall mirror designed in the Italian Rococo Revival style. The frame is constructed from a molded composite material with an antiqued gold-tone gilded finish. The ornate asymmetrical design features characteristic scrolling acanthus leaves, C-scrolls, and rocaille shell motifs at the upper and lower crests. The mirror plate is clear and unset into the shaped frame. The reverse of the mirror is fitted with a red velvet-flocked backing board, secured with several small metal screws. A single metal D-ring is attached to the upper reverse for hanging purposes. There are no maker marks or labels visible on the frame or backing.
