Lot 115: A Trio of Noritake Hand-Painted and Gilt Octagonal Bowls and Circular Lidded Box

A trio of Japanese white porcelain tableware comprising two matching octagonal bowls and a circular lidded box. Each piece features a radial geometric design divided by gilded and maroon enamel borders. The decoration includes circular medallions containing stylized floral sprays in coral-orange, pink, and green against a black ground, surrounded by green foliate scrolls and pink floral accents. The bowls are of octagonal form with flared, lobed rims and circular foot rims. The lidded box is of low-profile circular form with a domed lid. The rims and decorative borders are heavily accented with raised gold moriage and beaded detailing. The base of each item bears a printed green mark consisting of the word ‘Noritake’ above a circular emblem containing a stylized three-pronged symbol, with ‘MADE IN JAPAN’ below.
