Lot 198: Three Hindu Ritual Objects including Mukhalingam and Gaja Lakshmi

A collection of three cast brass or bronze alloy Hindu deities and ritual objects. The group includes a Lord Shiva Panchamukha Mukhalingam, featuring five busts with Naga serpent hoods set upon a separate yoni base with a distinct pouring spout. Also present is a separate four-faced bust, possibly depicting Brahma or a variant of a Mukhalingam, with tiered decorative headwear. The final piece is a Gaja Lakshmi figure, depicting the goddess seated on a lotus throne beneath an ornamental arch formed by two elephants pouring water. All pieces exhibit traditional sand-casting characteristics with oxidation and a green-blue verdigris patina visible in the recessed decorative areas and hollow interiors. The undersides are hollow and lack readable maker’s marks, inscriptions, or labels; a square aperture is present in the base of the separate four-faced bust (photo 6).
