The body is decorated with stylized pink and white chrysanthemum blossoms and green foliage against a black ground. The background is populated with a dense pattern of wirework cloisons forming cloud or scroll motifs. The neck and foot are finished with decorative borders of ruyi-heads and fish-scale patterns in turquoise and blue enamels. The interior of the neck and the underside of the foot are gilded, and the base is finished with a counter-enamel of cobalt blue. An unreadable white mark or residue is present on the blue enamel of the base.
