Lot 394: A Vintage Canvas and Leather Shotgun Cartridge Magazine

A specialized vintage shotgun cartridge magazine constructed with a brown textured canvas body over a rigid frame. The case features dark brown leather trim to all edges, secured with contrasting cream stitching. The front is fitted with a centrally mounted leather-wrapped handle on brass-toned D-ring mounts and a brass flip-down latch mechanism. A rectangular brass lock plate is positioned below the latch, with a length of twine currently tied through the keyhole. A wide dark brown leather security strap with a metal buckle wraps around the entire circumference of the case. The underside is fitted with four circular brass-toned feet. The interior is lined with a faded salmon-coloured fabric and contains four main rectangular compartments divided by red-lined supports. Each section includes a dark brown textured leather strap with a metal buckle to the rear for securing contents. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the interior or exterior.
