Lot 421: A Studio Art Glass Landscape Pattern Ovoid Vase 35cm

A hand-blown studio art glass vase of ovoid form featuring a landscape-inspired abstract design. The piece is constructed with a cased glass body, showing a white interior visible through the rim. The lower portion is decorated with mottled emerald and grass green glass frit, creating a textured meadow effect. The upper section features a sky-blue ground overlaid with dark brown or oxblood glass threads, which have been combed or pulled into a feathered pattern. One thread terminates in a decorative swirl on the shoulder. The vase is finished with a polished, slightly recessed rim and a flattened, polished pontil base. Small air bubbles (seeds) are present within the blue glass layer, characteristic of the hand-blowing process. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the exterior or the base.
