Lot 469: Tri-ang Transport Pressed Steel Tipper Truck

A vintage pressed steel tipper truck featuring a white cab and chassis with a red rear body. The vehicle is constructed from heavy-gauge pressed steel with black rubber tyres on metal hubs and a front grille assembly. The tipping mechanism is manually operated, with the rear body hinged to the chassis. On the passenger side of the red tipper body is a multi-coloured printed adhesive label. It features a gold-tone oval background with a black central band. The label reads Tri-ang in red script above the word TRANSPORT in white block capitals. Below this is a red circular logo containing a white stylized L and the words MADE IN ENGLAND printed in red. The underside reveals a simple open-frame chassis construction with solid metal axles.
