Lot 471: A Collection of Decorative Art Glass Including Strathearn Millefiori Paperweight

A collection of four decorative art glass items featuring varying techniques and a coordinated purple and pink colour palette. The collection includes a domed millefiori paperweight constructed with concentric rings of multicolored lampworked canes in red, blue, green, and white motifs, set against a pink-dusted ground. A rectangular cream paper label is adhered to the base with a black border and a stylized ‘S’ seahorse logo, reading ‘STRATHEARN HAND MADE IN SCOTLAND’.

The group also includes a spherical clear glass paperweight featuring a central purple-pink fountain or flower-like internal form with white highlights, surrounded by a ring of controlled air bubbles using the bullicante technique. A tall, tapered teardrop ornament in clear glass contains an internal swirled purple and pink abstract motif at the base. Completing the collection is a faceted lead crystal ornament in the form of a blooming lotus flower, featuring clear outer petals and a pink-toned central core.
