Lot 472: A Collection of Decorative Glass Figurines and Paperweights

An assortment of decorative glass comprising five distinct pieces featuring various glassmaking techniques. The group includes a clear glass toucan figurine with an internal green-cased beak, perched on a faceted clear base. Also present is a teardrop-shaped egg paperweight featuring a light blue ground overlaid with white latticinio-style swirls and internal controlled bubble decoration. A spherical paperweight contains lampwork-style inclusions depicting a blue-petaled flower and an orange and black butterfly figure. The collection is completed by two fruit-form ornaments: a solid clear glass apple with a yellow tint, an applied stem, and a textured leaf; and a cobalt blue fruit with a swirled rib texture and a clear applied stem. The lower side of the clear apple bears faint incised marks which are not legible as a name. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the pieces.
