Lot 474: A Collection of Orange and Amberina Decorative Glassware
A collection of mid-20th-century decorative glassware featuring a vibrant orange and amber palette. The group comprises a bud vase, a set of frosted goblets, and two hand-formed dishes.
The bud vase is constructed from translucent orange glass, featuring a bulbous base and a tall, slender neck. The three matching goblets are made from frosted satin glass, exhibiting a vertical colour gradient that transitions from a warm amber rim to a deep burnt orange stem and base.
The collection also includes two hand-formed translucent orange glass dishes, each styled as a stylized bird or swan. These pieces feature clear glass necks applied to the orange bodies. One dish has a smooth-crested head, while the other features a larger, more elaborate fan-shaped crest created using a pulled-glass technique.
No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the bases or bodies of any items in this collection.
