Lot 499: A Collection of Antique Glass Apothecary Shop Rounds and Storage Bottles

A group of antique glass vessels including three cylindrical apothecary shop rounds and two large storage bottles. The clear glass shop rounds each feature a ground glass stopper with a rectangular finial and an inset glass-protected label. The largest shop round bears a white adhesive label with a red border reading CURRIE POWDER. in black capital letters. The medium-sized round has a silver-toned label with a red border reading AQUA ROSÆ, and the smallest round has a cream label with a black border reading AQUA. A faint embossed character W is visible on the lower body of one shop round. The two large storage bottles are constructed from aqua-tinted glass with rounded shoulders and tapering necks. One bottle is fitted with a cork stopper featuring a circular paper label printed with IRON PILLS (BLAUD). The second large bottle features a wide mouth and a substantial green-tinted ground glass stopper with a rectangular finial.
