Lot 568: A Trio of Animal Head Novelty Walking Canes

A trio of vintage novelty walking sticks featuring decorative animal-form handles. The first cane comprises a cast brass handle modelled as a stylized eagle head with textured feather detailing, mounted to a three-section turned wood shaft in a light brown finish with metal joining collars. The second walking stick features a molded resin handle realistically sculpted in the form of a long-haired dog, possibly a Retriever or Spaniel, finished in a stone-grey tone; the medium brown wooden shaft is constructed in three sections with metal collars and finished with a flared black rubber ferrule. The third walking cane has a cast brass handle in the form of a stylized bird or duck head with a long bill, showing a natural aged patina and mounted to a dark mahogany-stained shaft with decorative brass rings and a tapered metal ferrule. No maker marks or signatures are visible on any of the pieces.
